Privacy Policy

This covers the Ability Draft Plus desktop app and the Ability Draft Plus Twitch extension. Last updated 5 September 2026.

The short version

There is no account and no login. Neither the app nor the extension asks who you are.
No analytics, no advertising, no profiling. Nothing you do is measured, scored, or sold, and nothing is shared with data brokers.
Viewers are not identified. The extension does not request a Twitch identity link, so it never receives your Twitch username or user ID — only an anonymous per-channel identifier that Twitch issues and we never store.
What we do store is about a channel, not a person, and it deletes itself automatically.

The desktop app

The app runs entirely on your PC. Your settings, your draft history, your personal statistics and any recognition snapshots stay in your own Windows user folder, and are never uploaded anywhere unless you explicitly send them. The app does not read Dota 2's memory, inject code, or automate input — the Safety page explains that in detail.

Screenshot snapshots you chose to report. They are stored locally (capped at 25) until you send or delete them.

Twitch pairing service

Publishes the draft board for your own channel so your viewers can see it.

The Twitch extension, as a viewer

When you watch a channel running the extension, the overlay receives the streamer's draft board over Twitch's own messaging, and downloads public Dota 2 ability text from this site along with ability and hero art from Valve's content network. That traffic goes one way: nothing about you is sent back.

The extension saves two small values in your browser, on your device only. They are never transmitted, and clearing your browser's site data removes them.

The extension has no chat permission, cannot post as you, and cannot see your Twitch identity.

What the pairing service stores

To carry a draft from a streamer's PC to their viewers, a small service runs on Amazon Web Services in the European Union (Stockholm). Every record it holds is keyed to a Twitch channel, and every record expires on its own:

Pairing code

keyed to: The code itself 10 minutes

Lets the desktop app claim a channel once, then expires.

Channel token

keyed to: Twitch channel ID Until you unpair

A hash of the token your app authenticates with. The token itself is never stored.

Draft state

keyed to: Twitch channel ID 6 hours

The current board, so a viewer joining mid-stream sees it immediately.

The draft board itself contains only game information — which abilities are in the pool, who drafted what, and the in-game statistics Dota 2 already shows on the broadcast. It contains no viewer information of any kind, and the service keeps no record of who viewed a channel.

Other services involved

Using the app or the extension necessarily involves a few third parties, each under its own privacy policy: Twitch (delivers the extension and its messages), Valve (Dota 2 and the content network serving ability art), Windrun.io (the source of the draft statistics), GitHub (hosts the source code, releases and update checks) and Amazon Web Services (hosts this site and the pairing service). We do not send any of them information about you beyond what is needed to make those requests.

Your choices

Viewers: clearing your browser's site data removes everything the extension stored. Nothing of yours exists on our side to delete.
Streamers: turning off broadcasting in the app, or removing the extension from your channel, stops all publishing. Unpairing deletes the channel token, and the stored board expires within six hours.
Recognition reports: snapshots stay on your PC until you send them, and you can delete them at any time from the app.

Children

These tools are not directed at children, and because nothing here identifies anyone, no information about a child is knowingly collected.

Changes and contact
